Fundraising

Our 2004/5 Appeal launched by the Chairman of Trustees, Mr. Marshall Pennington contained a Wish List of various Items and ongoing Projects at Bakers' Villas, Epping. It was hoped that by breaking down our Appeal in this way, the Industry would feel the value of their donation and be able to identify a tangible item that would really benefit the Residents at Bakers' Villas. This method of fundraising has been very successful and today in 2008 so much has been achieved on our original Wish List, although more still needs to be done (see update below). Government legislation due to come into force in 2010 (The Decent Homes Act), meant that any kitchens over 20 years old have to be updated and all dwellings must be fitted with modern energy efficient windows.

In April, Laser organised a very successful Edwardian Breakfast and raised nearly £2300.
